Chemical composition and properties of 10CrMo910 alloy steel plate

I.10CrMo910 is a material of alloy steel, which is commonly used in boilers and pressure vessels. 10CrMo910 steel plate is made of high quality carbon structural steel by adding alloying elements appropriately to improve the mechanical properties, toughness and hardenability of the steel plate. According to chemical composition (mainly carbon content), heat treatment process and different uses, this kind of steel can be roughly divided into carburizing, quenching and tempering and nitriding steel three.

IV.10CrMo910 Steel plate welding performance introduction:
When welding 10CrMo910 steel plate, if the welding rod and wire with the same strength as the base metal are selected, the plasticity of the welding joint is poor. The preheating temperature of the welding is required to be 400~450℃, which is high and the construction condition is poor. In order to improve the welding joint plasticity, the welding must be held at 740° C for 3H high temperature tempering. But high temperature preheating and long time high temperature tempering will cause obvious softening phenomenon in welding heat affected zone. If you choose a slightly lower strength, good plastic welding rod and wire, the preheating temperature is greatly reduced (actual operation 250~300° C),700~720°C insulation for 1H tempering, enough to eliminate welding stress, and will not cause the softening of the welding heat affected zone. Therefore, R317 electrode and H08CrMOA electrode are commonly used for welding 10CrMo910 alloy steel pipe.
